WASHINGTON, DC & NEWARK, DE - As 2023 gets its start, the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) is helping industry members plan ahead with the release of its State of the Industry Report. The report features data, insights, and outlooks to aid in preparation for challenges and opportunities.
“IFPA’s first State of the Industry Report explores how the IFPA member community, and the global fruit and vegetable industry can make a positive and powerful impact on the world, despite daunting challenges,” said IFPA Chief Executive Officer Cathy Burns. “As an organization, it is our duty to champion the data, insights, and messages that create lasting change in consumption so that the world knows fresh produce and floral truly are the secret to vitality and vibrancy.”
This insightful report is published in three languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese, a release stated. Each of the versions is available to download on the association’s State of the Industry page.
In the report, IFPA includes critical data, including economic and consumption data, key trends according to the association’s research and other globally recognized research, and a future outlook for the industry. Like the State of the Industry presentation, the report provides insights that are meant to inspire and enlighten industry teams to drive the consumption of fresh produce.
“The gap between where things stand today and the difference we need to make tomorrow (and tomorrow is none too soon) is what this report is all about,” said Burns. “As our members look at the data and trends that follow, I encourage us all to consider ‘what is possible?’”
