<p><strong>Walla Walla, WA </strong></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>L&S Cranberry, the largest growers supplying Ocean Spray Cranberries, is maximizing productivity and maintaining product quality by introducing Key Technology’s Optyx® 6000 cranberry sorter and RemoteMD™, a real-time monitoring and diagnostics tool for the sorter, into its production program.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The Optyx sorter, a real-time monitoring and diagnostics tool, is able to inspect 12,000 pounds of fresh berries an hour and removes any foreign objects. RemoteMD monitors the sorting process by checking for defects and promptly warns the company of any irregularities.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">“Prior to having our own packing plant, we shipped our fresh cranberries to an Ocean Spray packing plant, which had Optyx sorters. In 2008, we decided that we had grown large enough to justify having our own packing plant.
