Kingston views this development as another customer driven expansion of its tropical import program. Kan Nabal, President, states “We are excited to expand our working relationships with our growers in Peru but even more excited to help them establish the marketing of this relatively new program here in the United States.”

The majority of its avocado shipments will come through South Florida where the company owns and operates an impressive cold storage facility. Dave Kingston, owner, explains, “Our close proximity to the ports of entry in South Florida as well as our strategically located facility, Kingston Cross Dock and Cold Storage, in Pompano Beach, gives us a distinct advantage for distribution in to the Southeast.” Mr. Kingston adds, “Between our relationship and ‘eyes’ on the ground in Peru, QA and Food Safety team at our storage facility in Florida, and even our trucks in the southeast, we are able to monitor quality and control all aspects of the supply chain. This ‘value-added’ approach maintains the highest quality and helps achieve our #1 goal—serving our customers safe, wholesome, delicious food.”

Additionally, Kingston will begin exploring arrivals into the Northeast, where it recently announced the opening of a new sales office in Cincinnati, to further expand its Costa Rican pineapple and other tropical import programs.

Kingston & Associates Marketing
