<p>At its Spring Marketplace event held at Lowes Don CeSar Resort in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida, Legacy Foodservice Alliance took the opportunity to recognize some of its distributor and supplier partners. The members were acknowledged for being committed to going above and beyond sales growth, according to a press release. Recently, the company reached a milestone - the 80-member mark.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Steve Push, CEO of the Alliance, opened the first Legacy awards program by offering his gratitude to the members who supported the principles established by its founders when the organization was created. Mr. Push, stated, “I’m in a room full of heroes in a very young company.” He continues, “All of you are jointly responsible for Legacy’s success.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> One highlight of the awards program included The Visionary Award and was presented to Cedar Farms, Philadelphia, and ConAgra Food Sales for supporting Legacy’s unique philosophies from its establishment. Those recognized with the Outstanding Member Awards were Magnolia Beef Co., Baily International of Atlanta, Victory Foodservice Distributors Corp., and Testa Produce.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Allen Canning, Land O’Lakes Inc., Sara Lee Foodservice, and House of Raeford Farms were supplier members that received the same Outstanding Member Award. The Leadership Award was another honor given by Legacy and recognized The Farner-Bocken Co. and Cavendish Farms. The Most Engaged Award went to Colony Foods and Best Maid Cookie Co. Legacy aims to focus on line conversions to supplier members and support that goal. With true collaboration between suppliers and distributors in mind, The Charger Award was established and presented to Van Bennett Food Co. and Farmland Foods Inc.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
