THE NETHERLANDS - Although there have been intense changes to the retail market as of late, it’s important to remind ourselves that business does go on as usual. For retailers like Lidl, this means that it continues to acquire crucial operational elements. Most recently, the discount grocer acquired warehouse space for a new logistics center in the Netherlands.

According to online news source, eDelivery, Lidl has signed a 10-year lease with developer DHG. This deal covers nearly 42,839 square meters of warehouse space, or roughly 461,115 square feet.

The site is located in Moerdijk in the southern Netherlands, and is currently home to other logistics units. Although it is currently uncertain whether or not Lidl has its eyes on those other sites, there is a possibility that it could expand into them in the future.
