TEHACHAPI, CA - Millennium Pacific Greenhouses, a leading grower and marketer of premium greenhouse produce in California and Delta, British Columbia, is pleased to announce it has entered into an exclusive contract to purchase a 62-acre greenhouse facility located at 20570 Pellisier Road in Tehachapi, California.

The acquisition marks a major expansion for Millennium Pacific Greenhouses, increasing the company’s production footprint from its current 45 acres of high-quality greenhouse tomatoes to over 100 acres of controlled environment agriculture.

Once the acquisition is completed, Millennium Pacific Greenhouses plans to fully utilize the Tehachapi facility – including recommissioning a 16-acre section that is not currently in production – to cultivate and market a diversified portfolio of fresh produce, including bell peppers, cucumbers, and leafy lettuces, alongside its established line of Tomatoes.

“This expansion represents an important milestone for Millennium Pacific,” said Brandon Gruenberger, VP, Sales and Business Development. “The Tehachapi greenhouse offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and an ideal climate for year-round production. By adding peppers, cucumbers, and leafy greens to our portfolio, we’re not only broadening our product offering but also strengthening our ability to supply fresh, locally grown produce to customers across the western United States.”

The Tehachapi facility, located in Kern County, provides exceptional growing conditions, advanced climate control technology, and efficient logistics access to major distribution hubs throughout California. Millennium Pacific Greenhouses anticipates a seamless integration of the site into its existing operations and expects production to begin following completion of the acquisition.

“In an industry where independent farm operators have faced many challenges, Millennium Pacific’s history of successful operations across the Western U.S. and Canada made them a natural fit for this next chapter,” said Gavin Haladay, Principal at Equilibrium Capital. “As we searched for the owner to take the facility into the future, we looked for companies with operational depth to manage complex assets in California and who were embedded in the community. As it turns out, Millennium Pacific was right across the street. We look forward to working with Millennium on a smooth transition to their new plantings.”

This strategic expansion underscores Millennium Pacific’s ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local agriculture. By utilizing advanced greenhouse systems and precision growing techniques, the company continues to reduce resource use while delivering premium produce year-round.
