<p>Misionero Vegetables is celebrating 40 years of success this year as a family-owned and operated business, providing fresh, quality produce. Misionero Vegetables was founded in 1973 by Floyd Griffin who felt there was a place in the Salinas Valley for a produce company that could succeed if it treated its people with respect and always balanced the choice between growth and quality, according to a press release. The company started out as a grower/harvester operation but developed into an industry leader in conventional and organic value-added produce. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Misionero celebrated the 40th anniversary with a full scale barbecue in July. The event was held to thank customers, vendors and employees for contributing to the company's success. Local dignitaries in addition to the Griffin family participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new expansion.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Misionero remains a privately- owned family business with Stephen Griffin serving as CEO and President.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Congratulations Misionero on your 40 years of success!</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href=" http://www.misionero.com/home" target="_new"> Misionero Vegetables </a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
