Mission Produce Inc. is welcoming Jose Maldonado as its new Director of Global Logistics. With over 15 years of experience in global logistics and finance, Jose will be tasked with ensuring that Mission avocados sources from California, Mexico, Chile, and Peru will be transported to its customers around the world.
“Jose will manage our relationships with all major steam ship lines, from securing space on vessels to the negotiation of freight rates,” said Jeremy Currier, Vice President of Distribution and Logistics. “We are excited to have Jose on board as Mission continues to execute its global business plan.”
Jose comes to Mission from Dole Fresh Fruit International where he worked from Costa Rica. He was responsible for vessel chartering, fuel supply contracts, commercial carrier contract/relations, commercial fleet operations budgeting, among other responsibilities, according to a press release.
