KINGSVILLE, ON, CANADA - With continued growth in the queue for the months to come, Mucci Farms has come into a new chapter of its business in 2024 and is ready to showcase what is next come International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Global Produce & Floral Show (GPFS).

Joe Spano, Managing Partner, Mucci Farms

“We are excited to share the proactive steps we’re taking to enhance our operational efficiency, with a strong focus on sustainability at every level of our business. We want to present attendees with a window into our ambitious growth strategy, which includes acquisitions, ongoing construction projects, and plans for future developments,” Joe Spano, Managing Partner, recently shared. “These initiatives are designed to boost local and regional production, allowing us to better serve our partners across the continent, from coast to coast.”

With product launches always driven by data and industry trends, Mucci has its innovative eye on snacking’s fast-growing grip on the leading segments of fresh produce.

Emily Murracas, Director of Marketing, Mucci Farms

“We’re focused on staying ahead of market demands. This year, we’re excited to reinforce our Savorries Sweet Strawberry Tomatoes, a category disruptor that is our fastest-growing SKU for 2024. We will also showcase two new items that offer more variety in the snacking space. First, our Dots Mini Grape Tomatoes are smaller than traditional grape tomatoes but pack the same satisfying crunch and bold flavor,” said Emily Murracas, Director of Marketing. “Next, we’re introducing Senza Seedless Sweet Peppers. ‘Senza’ means ‘without’ in Italian, and these peppers are completely seedless, taking snacking to a whole new level.”

Dots Mini Grape Tomatoes will be available in both a 1 pint and a convenient 5 oz snack-size Top Seal package, while Senza Seedless Sweet Peppers will be offered in a 1 lb bag. Mucci will also showcase its Organic Sapori Cocktail Tomato, celebrated for its exceptional flavor and versatility, along with its reintroduction of the Linerless Label Series.

“On the sustainability side, our Linerless Label Series eliminates plastic entirely. Our partners at Crawford Packaging will be hosting a live demonstration of this packaging innovation at their booth,” Emily shared.

Sustainability, as we all know, is more than materials. It is also about moving forward, which is the Mucci team’s favorite direction to face.

Recent consumer trends have prompted the grower to introduce its new Senza Seedless Sweet Peppers

“We’re thrilled about the future of the industry. What we want current and prospective partners to know is that while there have been challenges with global disease pressures along with inflationary pressure on prices, we believe Controlled Environment Agriculture is the key to pushing the industry forward,” Joe concluded. “It allows us to introduce exciting new varieties that can withstand these challenges while delivering the exceptional flavor and quality that consumers and retailers have come to expect from Mucci Farms.”

With a focus on cost leadership and surety of supply, Mucci Farms is confident in its ability to continue leading the industry for not just years, but decades to come. Dive in for yourself when you swing by booth B439 in Atlanta, Georgia, October 17–19. I’ll see you there!
