Mucci Farms recently took home five awards at the REACH International’s Annual Hottest Tomato, Perfect Pepper, and Coolest Cucumber Competition. The company is committed to producing quality, fresh and flavorful gourmet vegetables and the company's continued efforts were recognized appreciated at this past weekend's event.
Mucci Farms was awarded "Best Overall Hothouse Cucumber" and "Best Hothouse Mini Cucumber." In Addition, the greenhouse veggie grower took home top honors in the Pepper categories of "Best Overall Hothouse Pepper" and "Best Green Pepper" as well as "Best Red Pepper."
The competition celebrates Essex County as being home to the largest concentration of greenhouse vegetable production in North America. The Leamington Salvation Army Foodbank receives the proceeds from sales of donated vegetables by local growers/wholesalers.
