National Mango Board Brings on Three Dieticians for its Nutrition Outreach Program

<p><strong>Orlando, FL</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The National Mango Board has enlisted three Registered Dieticians (RD) as 2012 mango ambassadors as part of a Nutrition Outreach Program. The new media RD’s include Tara Gidus, Sylvia Melendez, and Michelle Dudash, who will collect mango nutrition coverage in both their local markets and in national outlets.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">NMB Director of Marketing, Megan MKenna, states, “With our RD team, we are able to educate even more consumers about the significant nutritional benefits that come from adding mangos into a daily diet. Mangos are a wholesome fruit providing a good source of dietary fiber and more than 20 different vitamins and minerals, including Vitamins C and A.” The NMB’s RD team has a extensive background in media relations and nutrition, and at the close of Quarter Two in 2012, mango nutrition messages reached consumers an impressive total of 70 million times through this nutrition outreach program.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Ms. Gidus is a nationally recognized expert and media spokesperson on nutrition, fitness, and health, and appears frequently in the media to share her medical expertise. Ms. Melendez is a bilingual RD and trainer, who uses her multicultural background and appearances on television, radio, and academic journals to promote healthy eating habits.
