New things are heating up in Leamington, Ontario. Scorpion and Ghost peppers are now on the market and hot from Nature Fresh Farms. The company is differentiating the flavor profiles of produce departments with some of the hottest specialty peppers available.
In addition to Scorpion and Ghost Peppers, the company offers Pencil Hot, Shishito, Banana, Spanish and Padron. NatureFresh introduced specialty hot peppers into its greenhouse program last year and has increased acreage to accommodate the growing demand.
Ray Wowryk, Director of Business Development, tells AndNowUKnow, “Hot peppers are a unique item for the greenhouse industry and we are excited to offer this program for our retail partners. Growing ethnic demographics have increased demand for items like hot peppers and we hope to continue to expand our product offerings to align with the changing palate.”
Nature Fresh greenhouse grown, specialty peppers are available from April to November and are packed in a bulk, retail ready clam shell or tray packs. Additionally, popular mixed packs are available.
