<p><strong>SCHAUMBURG, IL</strong> - Nielsen Holdings N.V., has recently acquired the Perishables Group, Inc. Nielsen acquired all of the group's assets including data, advanced analytic IP, tools and ongoing client work. All employees of the Perishables Group will be integrated into Nielsen’s North America Consumer Analytics team. The perishables information and knowledge will be incorporated into Nielsen's operation, allowing for an enhanced range of insights across the company.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> John Lewis, President and CEO, Consumer North America, Nielsen, states, "Nielsen acquired the Perishables Group to drive increased value for our clients. With Perishables Group now fully part of the Nielsen organization, we can accelerate our work to integrate total-store information, thus providing a holistic picture of store-level activity.” Bruce Axtman, President and CEO, the Perishables Group, will continue to lead the group which will now be known as Nielsen Perishables Group.
