<p><strong> Orlando, FL</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The National Mango Board is seeing strong results and responses to its key programs and recipes geared toward national media. The NMB works closely with writers and editors to increase fresh mango coverage and knowledge, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The versatile fruit has been featured in magazines, newspapers and on websites throughout the year. The NMB has been continuing the Virtual Test Kitchen program created in 2010, keeping mangos at the forefront of produce awareness. The board has been sending two seasonally-focused fresh mangos shipments to media. The objective of this year’s program is to work with long-lead women’s and parenting magazines as well as influential mom and food bloggers to reach consumers and their families.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The NMB sent several editors a shipment earlier in 2012 with a summer theme that encouraged the use of mangos in recipes for summer celebrations, featuring a Mango and Peanut Sauce Pasta Salad. The NMB also gained mango coverage in publications that include Better Homes & Gardens, FoodNetwork.com, Family Circle.
