LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA - We love to see fellow industry members recognized for the great work they do. Nora Trueblood, Marketing and Communications Director for Allen Lund Company, was recently named the recipient of the 3rd annual Allen Lund Legacy Award.
“I was very blessed to be raised in a home where we learned to give back from a very young age. I feel blessed that I was able to come work for the [Allen Lund Company], who have always encouraged giving back in the smallest way, the biggest way, whatever way we can...I am so truly honored that you would bestow this award upon me. Thank you so much,” Nora commented on receiving the award.
According to a release, the Legacy Award was created to honor an Allen Lund Company employee who is deeply involved in service within the community and exemplifies the unique leadership qualities and character of ALC’s beloved Founder, Allen Lund.
Nominations were submitted by ALC employees, reviewed, and the winner selected by the Lund family.
“We would like to say that we were once again inspired to read about ALC's amazing employees. It is a humbling reminder that our employees truly are the ‘Best of the Best,’ and Big Al would be so proud of those of you who continue to work hard in the office, but strive to be leaders within their families and communities,” stated Kathie Lund before handing out the award.
As noted during the ceremony, Nora’s involvement with many charitable efforts has inspired many at the company. As one person noted, “whether it was Relay for Life, Navidad en el Barrio, or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul...she invests more of her time and heart than anyone I have ever known.”
Kathie Lund continued to say the following about Nora.
“She has been one of our most dedicated employees for the past 20 years. She has a hand in so many aspects of the company including conventions, Managers’ Meetings, Big Al, Acts of Kindness, anniversaries, just to name a few,” she said. “Whatever is going on in the company, you can be sure she has poured her heart and soul into every detail to make it a success...Nora, we are so proud of you, and we thank you for all of your hard work! We know it has always been your goal to make Allen proud, and we hope this award ensures you that it has. Congratulations!”
