The event, which is one of the Treasure Valley’s longest running, was held at a Story Farms onion field in Roswell.

Nunhems celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Vaquero, one of the brand’s most successful long-day onion varieties. The event included lunch, festive hats, gifts, and themed birthday cakes. A fun thirty-second video was also created to remember the occasion. Kent Whittig, Nunhems Onion Crop Sales Manager NAFTA, states, “In addition to providing a relaxed atmosphere where Nunhems crop team members and growers can chat, the Showcase more importantly gives us a forum to say ‘thank you’ to our customers.”

The event was also a way for the company to show its support for those who will influence the industry for the next two decades. Nunhems donated $5,000 - $2,500 each to the Snake River FFA (Oregon) and Western Idaho FFA Districts. These donations assist the district FFA officers to secure new equipment and help educate students at hands-on events and competitions.

Nunhems
