Odenberg will present its Halo optical fruit and vegetable sorter.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Odenberg’s Halo is a low maintenance and high efficiency advanced sensor based optical sorter, capable of sorting or grading for quality, shape, color, size, and food safety. The 1000 mm wide machine inspects products in free fall and recognizes different types of products to identify a unique fingerprint for each. This forms the basis for the sorting process, as defects are rejected if they do not match the fingerprint. Bert Van der Auwera, Sales Director, Best, states, “We have been testing the sorter in a a number of nut applications so far, with very good results.
