Potandon Produce and Johnny’s Fine Foods are taking to the open road to sample each company’s products and seasonings to consumers throughout the Midwest, according to a press release.

The companies will be cruising in a custom-built 1950’s style concession trailer, canvassing the Midwest and offering samples of Klondike Brand potatoes prepared with an array of different Johnny’s seasonings, marinades and dressings. The unique concession vehicle will be an integral part of both companies’ marketing strategy for the next two years. By taking the sampling trailer to regional fairs, local festivals, corporate and store sampling events throughout the United States, the partners anticipate reaching a large cross-section of the American public while introducing them to the Klondike Brands potatoes.

“We believe that one of the best ways to spread the word about our delicious variety potatoes, Klondike Rose and Klondike Goldust, is to get people to try them,“ says Potandon’s Marketing Supervisor, Barbara Keckler. “Once consumers experience the quality and flavor of these potatoes, we know they will become customers for life. We feel the Klondike potatoes are perfectly complimented with Johnny’s Seasonings and are a great fit for this venture.“

The Midwest leg of the tour kicked off at the Truman Festival in Grandview, Missouri on May 4, 2012.
