Produce For Kids Healthy Minds Campaign

<p><strong>Orlando, FL</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">This coming fall, Produce for Kids and select grocery stores will launch the Healthy Schools, Healthy Minds campaign. The program, run through DonorsChoose.org is designed to raise money for local classroom projects that teach about health and nutrition.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Shoppers will find Produce for Kids display set-ups featuring characters from Sprout shows, LazyTown and Noodle and Doodle, in over 2,000 grocery stores in 21 states. Participating retailers include Ahold’s GIANT and Martin’s food Stores, Giant Landover, and Stop &amp;Shop divisions; Meijer Stores; and Publix Super Markets. Over 15 fruit and vegetable growers are lending support to the campaign.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">From September through October, participating suppliers can make a donation to DonorsChoose.org to send funds to classrooms based on the support of their fresh produce items at participating grocery stores, according to a press release.
