Progreso Produce Files for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Liquidation

<p>Progreso Produce Limited I, L.P. has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in the Texas Western Bankruptcy Court on September 30.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The company, which was founded over 40 years ago, has carved out leading growing and sourcing positions for watermelons, Mexican strawberries, Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, and chili peppers, while also growing its core business in year round onion production. Progreso has maintained facilities in California, Arizona, and Texas, but the majority of its growing locations are located in Mexico.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Court records indicate that Progreso is liable for company debts from $1m to $10m with assets below $50,000. Progreso will be represented by Natalie F.
