Purity Organic Produce has announced the historic arrival of organic avocados to the U.S. from Peru, set to begin the third week of June. The leading organic tree fruit marketer and founder of Purity Organic Juices will offer a steady three-month supply of Peruvian organic avocados in a variety of sizes along with a bagged avocado program.
Director of Sales and Marketing Steve Akagaki states, “We are very excited to be the first importer of Peruvian organic avocados this season and are already experiencing strong demand, being that the organic Mexican avocado supply has dwindled rapidly this season.” Mr. Akagaki adds, “The Peruvian quality is there with very good oil content, so we expect sales to be brisk.” Purity Organic expects to be the sole importer of certified organic avocados from Peru for the entirety of the summer season.
