BATAVIA, OH - All eyes will be on Randy Riley this year at the American Seed Trade Association: Vegetable and Flower Seed Conference. It was recently announced that the Co-Owner of GoldenSun Insights will be the keynote speaker for the General Session discussion, examining the topics of order fulfillment and industry consolidation and how these concepts are affecting the seed industry.
“Fulfillment and consolidation are concepts we need to keep a pulse on,” says Riley. “In our industry, it is crucial to understand the relationship between industry consolidation and fulfillment center expansions. It is important for leaders in this space to remain up-to-date on these topics, and I am looking forward to hearing from our industry and guiding a healthy group discussion.”
A major shift in buying power across the industry is occurring as retail consolidation continues and the total number of potential buyers in the market is lessened. The strength of the retail sector has led to innovations in fulfillment and autonomous delivery methods in tandem with this trend. According to a press release, Riley will go in-depth on the importance of how these two notions work together and what that means for the future of the industry.
Riley’s discussion will be held on Monday, January 30, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. EST. Following the keynote will be an open discussion with industry fellows, led by Riley, highlighting future implications.
