UNITED STATES - With fright night fast approaching, forecasters warn that some trick-or-treaters may need to bundle up and grab their umbrellas this year. A developing northeast storm is expected to bring rain, gusty winds, and chilly air to parts of the East Coast around Halloween, while a storm train continues to drench the Pacific Northwest.

The unsettled weather could impact outdoor festivities from parades to neighborhood events across multiple regions, according to AccuWeather. The Southeast may see several rounds of rain early in the week, while the Northeast faces the greatest risk of stormy conditions closer to Halloween night. Meanwhile, gusty Santa Ana winds could make for a tricky evening in parts of Southern California, and the Northwest will remain locked in a wet pattern.

Still, not every region will be spooked by the weather. Clear, calm skies are expected across much of the central and southwestern United States, providing a more comfortable backdrop for celebrations.
