Southern Specialties has announced Andre Escobar as the company’s new General Manager of the McAllen division. Mr. Escobar will manage accounts in North America, loading from the Pompano Beach location and oversee growing operations in Mexico and the South Texas Valley.

“Andre brings a wealth of experience from both the retail and grower-shipper side of the business.” said Robert Colescott, President and CEO. “I’m excited to have him on our team. Escobar has over twenty years of experience in the produce industry under his belt. His last position was at Crescent Fruit and Vegetable. His business is expected to go beyond the current product line grown and marketed by Southern Specialties.

To assist operations in sales and quality control, the company has hired Manuel Saldivar. His experience ranges from the produce industry, to production management and produce inspection protocols.
