A majority of the apricots harvested by Stemilt, Washington’s largest apricot supplier, are grown and certified as organic and are marketed under the Artisan Organics label.

Eastern Washington’s arid climate and fertile soil also offer up ideal apricot growing conditions, which has had a large impact on the quality of the apricots grown in the region. According to Stemilt Marketing Director Roger Pepperl, this season’s apricots are characterized by vibrant hues and complex flavors, contributing to this year’s fruit’s excellent eating quality. The apricots will be promotable at retail stores throughout the month of July and into early August.

Stemilt Growers
