HARRISONBURG, VA - We’ve all heard it before: you snooze, you lose. That is what attendees of Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure are saying following the event that took place earlier this month. I heard from Steve Wright, Chief Customer Officer at Soli Organic™, who shared what went down on the trade show floor.

Steve Wright, Chief Customer Officer, Soli Organic™“Soli Organic showcased our high-quality, indoor-grown, 100 percent United States Department of Agriculture-certified organic leafy greens and fresh herbs. This included our soon-to-launch variety of organic baby spinach—which is delicious and a huge achievement since it’s both indoor grown and organic—and our fresh-cut basil, a unique variety that’s sweet and peppery with a hint of anise,” Steve told me.

At the booth, the Soli team communicated their ability to deliver a promise of high quality, 100 percent USDA-certified organic produce. They showed how the company is revolutionizing agriculture with a commitment to an increasing variety of high-quality organic produce at the best possible price point.

“Soli Organic’s technology, allowing us to grow indoors in soil, was the real unlock to our success. I know many retailers are looking for organic produce, and especially organic spinach that is grown indoors for surety of supply,” Steve stated. “We’re also excited to highlight our newest high-tech farms in Elkwood, Virginia, and Anderson, South Carolina, that are helping to deliver a sure supply of more sustainable, affordable, and regionally grown produce to retailers in communities across the Southeast.”

Steve relayed that Southern Exposure enables connection across the supply chain. He noted that industry members should attend to see and taste new products and take advantage of the opportunities to network.

“This is always a good event and a place to make connections with new industry peers and see some old friends,” he added. “I’m proud of our products and growing them organically, indoors, and in soil makes them high quality and unique. I enjoyed the opportunity to share them with everyone at the event.”

Cheers to another successful show in the books!
