Sunkist has just launched The Power Orange Challenge, encouraging a “taste discovery” of the Cara Cara Navel orange to commemorate the company’s 120th Anniversary. Far from your typical navel orange, the Cara Cara is exceptionally sweet and juicy with distinctive pink flesh. Aesthetically appealing as well as nutritious, the Cara Cara contains 150% of the daily recommended value of Vitamin C.
Sunkist invites customers to try a delicious Cara Cara and share their first taste via video submission from now March 3, 2013 for a chance to win national fame and cash prizes.

Sunkist challenges citrus lovers nationwide to grab their video cameras, a Sunkist Cara Cara, and creatively share what they love about this delicious orange. Judges will evaluate entries on four criteria: entertainment value (30%), originality (20%), production quality (20%), and integration of two key Cara Cara characteristics from the list below (30%).
• Cara Caras have a bright orange outside and distinctive pink flesh on the inside.
• Cara Caras are exceptionally sweet and juicy
• Cara Caras are seedless and easy to peel
• Cara Caras are a special hybrid of navel oranges and not related to grapefruit
• Cara Caras pack 150% of the recommended daily value of Vitamin C
The ten first place winners will receive $120 and fifty second place winners will receive a $5 Sunkist coupon toward the purchase of any Sunkist citrus product and a handy citrus peeler. The Cara Cara is grown in California and Arizona, is easy to peel and is seedless. The pulp is juicy with a tangy cranberry-like zing.
