BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Exposure event will be here before we know it! Our ANUK travel team is excited to see all of our industry friends gathered in one place; one supplier we will be sure to link up with is Bako Sweet®.

“The Bako Sweet team is proud to showcase the full line of organic and conventional products from our shopper-loved value-added line to our tried-and-true bulk orange, red, white, and purple sweet potatoes,” said Susan Noritake, Director of Sales. “We are excited to be back in front of retailers to strategize best-in-class programs, drive shopper engagement, and elevate consumption outside of the traditional holiday period. As we say at Bako Sweet, we’re here to ‘Sweeten your Everyday.’”

Susan explained that Southern Exposure is a great event to connect with customers, growers, and industry peers. The format of all 10'X10' booths makes it more manageable to work your way around the expo. She relayed that the energy is positive yet relaxed, which makes for engaging conversation. Plus, Florida is not a bad spot to be in the winter.

At this year's Southern Exposure, hosted by Southeast Produce Council (SEPC), Bako Sweet® will showcase its full lineup of conventional and organic products

“Our biggest goal is to learn as much as we can to understand the needs of retailers and foodservice companies so we can design the best win-win programs. We also want to share our ideas and winning strategies to help drive consumption of super healthy and versatile sweet potatoes,” Susan told me.

Bako Sweet wants attendees to get excited about the potential sweet potatoes can have on their business and their health—to understand the grower as an innovative, solutions-driven brand that has fun doing big business.

Driving consumption of fresh produce and facilitating partnerships is par for the course for the team members at Bako Sweet®

"As we wrap up February, celebrating both National Sweet Potato Month and National Heart Health Month, our efforts in engaging shoppers have included showcasing our vibrant pink shipper displays, print advertisements, and enticing digital coupons along with the American Heart Association certification, which is proudly displayed on our packaging year-round," added Susan. "Looking ahead, we're preparing for the next big events—Easter and Memorial Day—aiming to spark enthusiasm and garner participation from our retail partners through these fantastic promotional opportunities."

If you will be at Southern Exposure this year, be sure to stop by the Bako Sweet booth.
