<p>Sysco, North America’s leading Foodservice distribution company, recently honored the suppliers that met or exceeded the company’s standards in 2013. The awards, as a part of the Sysco Supplier Excellence Awards Program, were presented at an industry dinner in Houston. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>According to a press release, Sysco named the company’s Gold Produce Supplier as ProSource Inc. The Silver Produce Supplier award went to Sigma Sales Inc. and the Bronze awards went to Taylor Farms, Tanimura and Antle, Church Brother LLC, GreenGate Fresh LLLP, and J&amp;J Produce. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>ProSource Inc. is a grower based, grower owned company with a focus on produce procurement from ProSource Partners that share a common model and genuine commitment to the highest levels of food safety, traceability, and sustainable agricultural practices.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Ecolab Inc., headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn., was recognized as Supplier of the Year, Sysco's top supplier recognition, and awarded for the highest level of performance in areas such as sales growth, profitability, Sysco Brand sales and overall support of Sysco. Ecolab's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Doug Baker, accepted the award.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>This marks the 19th year that Sysco has honored its top suppliers for continuing to help the company achieve its vision to be its customers' most valued and trusted business partner.
