This year, the Tanimura & Antle Relay for Life Committee devoted the majority of its efforts to The George Tanimura Relay for Life Roundup, during which event sponsors purchased tickets in honor of a loved one who has battle cancer. The company paid tribute to co-founder George Tanimura by presenting him with a bronze bust to be displayed in company headquarters alongside a similar bust of Antle Family patriarch, Bud Antle. CEO Rick Antle states “George Tanimura is an inspiration to many in the farming and business community. It is a pleasure to honor this fine man.”

This year, Tanimura & Antle was awarded the first annual “Spirit of Relay” award for the company’s dedication to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Jennifer Hyland, Senior Manager, Relay for Life, California Division states “I cannot begin to describe how honored we are to have Tanimura & Antle join with the American Cancer Society in our fight against cancer. The tremendous success of the George Tanimura Relay for Life Round Up fundraiser this year is a direct reflection of Tanimura & Antle’s leadership within the community and the produce industry, in addition to their leadership in Relay For Life.”

Tanimura & Antle
