MINNEAPOLIS, MN - It was only last month when Target revealed a slew of recent leadership appointments in a strategic play to propel its business forward. Now, another Chief has been added to that list—Prat Vemana will now be managing Target’s site merchandising, user experience, digital operations and product, and online marketplace as its new Chief Digital and Product Officer.
“Target is the gold standard for consumer experience in retail, both online and in its brick-and-mortar stores…” Vemana said in a recent Q&A on A Bullseye View. “This level of anticipating needs and proactively offering solutions is a big part of why I am so excited about the opportunity to join the team and help shape the way we use digital technology to bring joy to guests.”
In addition to overseeing several key aspects of its digital business, Vemana will also provide vital support for the company’s enterprise-wide product teams by bringing a holistic view to its overall product strategy, the blog stated.
Vemana brings valuable experience to this role, with extensive knowledge in leading and developing digital capabilities. In his most recent role, he led product management and experience teams as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer at Kaiser Permanente.
