<p><strong>Irvine, CA</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Tom Nassif, Western Growers President &amp; CEO, will be testifying before Congress on Friday, April 27, at 9:15 a.m. EDT in Washington, D.C. on the threat E-Verify. He will speak about what the threat poses for industry's labor force, without immigration reform for agriculture, according to a press release. Mr. Nassif will testify during a hearing of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration Policy and Enforcement.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Mr. Nassif’s message is that E-Verify by itself is a job killer for the agricultural industry and he is calling on Congress to provide immigration reform for farm workers, to ensure a legal and stable work force for the agriculture industry.
