Monrovia, CA

Trader Joe's has expanded into Texas. The company opened its first two Texas stores; one in Fort Worth and the other in The Woodlands. To celebrate the official opening, each Trader Joe's captain and their crew gathered for a ceremonial lei cutting and welcomed their new Trader Joe’s fans with live music, food demonstrations and raffles.

The Fort Worth location at 2701 South Hulen Street, is led by Captain Doug Campbell and is approximately 12,500 square feet, offering a festive decor mixing traditional Trader Joe's cedar covered walls, Hawaiian-inspired elements combined with a local flare including art that celebrates the neighborhood. Throughout the grocery store there are several colorful hand painted murals that pay homage to The Historic Chisholm Trail, TCU, Trinity Park, Fort Worth's Skyline and more.

The Woodlands location at 10868 Kuykendahl Road, inside the Woodlands Crossing Shopping Center, is about 13,500 square feet. The crew is led by Captain Josh Letto and offers a similar decor with hand painted murals featuring Market Street, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Downtown Bridge and Fountain, Waterway Trolley and more. Each store will sell wine and beer and will open from 8:00 am until 9:00 pm, daily.

Trader Joe's
