During his tenure as CEO, the company has grown from $1.8 billion in annual sales to close to $4 billion.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">"Through Al Plamann's leadership, Unified Grocers has more than doubled in size and has evolved into one of the premier companies in today's grocery industry," said Richard Goodspeed, Chairman of the Board, Unified Grocers. Plamann served as President and CEO of Certified Grocers of California for six years prior to the merger.
