<p> The U.S. Department of Agriculture has lifted PACA reparation sanctions for New Farm Inc. Once a reparation order is fully satisfied and it’s confirmed that there are no outstanding unpaid awards, USDA lifts the employment restrictions of any previously named, responsibly connected individuals.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The Brooklyn, NY company can continue operating in the produce industry upon applying for and being issued a PACA license. Jong Hwa H. Kim was listed as the sole officer and major stockholder of the business and may now be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">In the past three years, the USDA resolved approximately 5,000 claims filed under PACA involving almost $96 million, according to a press release. Individuals, including sole proprietors, partners, members, managers, officers, directors, or major stockholders may not be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee without the approval of the USDA. The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), PACA Division, regulates fair trading practices of produce businesses operating subject to PACA.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href=" http://www.ams.usda.gov/AMSv1.0" target="_new"> Agricultural Marketing Service </a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
