WEST DES MOINES, IA - Hy-Vee has launched a mobile app for smart phones, creating an even easier and more efficient shopping experience, according to a press release. The interactive app hosts a number of enhanced offerings including a voice-activated product locator feature that helps consumers navigate the supermarket isles. The new app also makes it easy to create shopping lists from weekly ads, while searching for recipes and preparation information. Catering, floral and bakery items can also be found with the app and purchased via the smartphone. The app also has social media features including access to Hy-Vee's social media platform and Twitter.

Ruth Comer, Assistant Vice President of Media Relations for Hy-Vee, states, "We decided to jump into the social media conversation and make our stores easier to navigate by developing an app that helps you find the foods you're looking for faster, and even tweet about what's missing on our shelves."
