Donna Giordano joined Kroger grocers in 1972 while still in college. The company has just announced that she will now be taking on the role of President of its immensely popular Ralph’s division, based in southern California. Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s president and Chief Operating Officer, stated: “Donna is an engaging and strategic leader who has earned the respect of our associates. She has passion and gets the job done. We are excited that she accepted this new role to lead Ralphs.” Ms. Giordano began in Kroger’s King Soopers stores, where she became a store manager and then quickly advanced to several directorial positions and ultimately took on the role of Kroger’s President of QVC. She will assume her new duties in August, turning what started as a college job into one of the most lucrative careers in the country.
