Loblaw’s President's Choice® Children's Charity Helps Students Get the Morning Started

<p><strong>BRAMPTON, ON</strong> - With its commitment to social responsibility, Loblaw's President's Choice® Children's Charity is donating $2.6 million to Breakfast for Learning. The gift will help the organization to fund 4,523 programs across Canada for the 2011/ 2012 school year, according to a recent press release. The award is part of a $7.2 million donation to the organization that was announced in 2010. With the help of these funds, Breakfast for Learning can further support the education and research programs, and student nutrition programs that seek to present students information and access to healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> With the assistance of the President's Choice® Children's Charity, Breakfast for Learning will be able to serve approximately 425,000 children across the country. Research has already shown that a well-nourished student performs better in school, presenting improved memory, problem-solving skills and creative abilities. The charity also works in partnership with Kids Eat Smart Foundation in Newfoundland and Labrador Club des petits déjeuners in Quebec.
