Loblaw Companies Limited Sees Canadians Overall Making Healthier Eating Choices

<p><strong>Brampton, On</strong> - Loblaw Companies Limited has reported some interesting changes in the eating habits of some of its consumers recently. The survey livelifewellâ„¢ reports that Albertans are at top of the list of those Canadians that are making healthier choices when it comes to eating, with 81% responding that they are making healthier decisions when it comes to those habits, over those choices they made a year ago. Also included in those results, are two thirds of Canadians reporting that they are making healthier eating choices than they were around the same time one year ago. Quebec residents can boast that they reduced their fat intake more than any other province with a reported 37%, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Along with results that reflect on the eating habits of Canadians, the survey also highlights the nutritional aspects consumers seek, challenges they face and ideologies they adopt. A perception reported by the survey reflects that Canadians see the perception of healthy eating as expensive, as one barrier they encounter while trying to create a healthier lifestyle. The numbers show that 41% report price as a reason that they see healthy eating as a challenged. Vision Critical for Loblaw Companies Limited conducted a national online poll from which the survey was assembled.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Alexis Williams, dietitian for Loblaw Companies Limited, comments on the expanding of the healthy eating philosophy in Canada, "While healthier eating behaviors and perspectives vary across the country, overall the survey reveals that Canadians are eating more fresh foods and trust dietitians and doctors for advice on healthy living.
