Michael Robinson, Vice President of the Eastern Division of Duda Farms, Passes

Michael, or Mike, Robinson, longtime industry veteran and Vice President of Duda Farm Fresh Foods’ Eastern Division, passed away last Wednesday, Sept. 16., at the age of 63.

Michael "Mike" RobinsonA family man who loved his two girls, Buffy and Misty, and their families, Mike and his wife, Mitzi, would have celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary this October, according to the announcement in the Orlando Sentinel.

Mike was born in Leesburg, Florida on April 11th, 1952, and worked with Duda for more than 40 years. Outside of the industry he was a songwriter with a love of music, playing guitar and performing for family and friends.

According to the notice, he practiced as both a student and instructor in the art of Wing Chun for over 20 years.

Mike passed away in West Palm Beach, Florida, preceded in death by both of his parents, his father Herman Dennis (H.D.) Robinson and his mother Violet Jeanine (Jeannie) Robinson.

A service was held in his memory on Saturday, September 26th, at Epiphany Celebration Church, in Eustis, Florida. It was reported that in lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Lake Sumter Children’s advocacy center, located at 300 South Canal Street, Leesburg, Florida, 34748 in his name.

Mike is survived by his wife, Mitzi Hewett Robinson, his two daughters Buffy (David) Carroll and Misty (Michael) Welter, his two sisters, Janice (Reg) Mills and Deana (Michael) Stone, and his adopted brother, John (Lisa) McKinney. He had four grandchildren, Hayley and Cody Carroll, Kessler and Cora Welter, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
