BLANDON, PA - The Giorgi Mushroom Co. on Tuesday helped kick off National Mushroom Month in the nation’s capital with a commemorative event with D.C. officials.
As part of the day-long activities, Giorgi delivered fresh U.S.-grown mushrooms directly to the USDA aboard a specially wrapped refrigerated delivery truck, highlighting “America’s Favorite Mushroom.”
According to the recent release, Giorgi Mushroom Co. CEO Mark Currie joined other mushroom producers to meet with USDA officials to celebrate U.S. mushrooms and their positive impact on communities and families nationwide.
