PORTERVILLE, CA - Following an early start to the 2026 Little Pranksters® kiwi berry harvest, Homegrown Organic Farms expects the season to wrap up earlier than originally anticipated. The crop has followed a pattern seen across several commodities this year, with harvest beginning up to two weeks earlier than usual and the season finishing earlier as a result.

Despite the shorter window, Homegrown Organic Farms has enjoyed a strong crop and another exciting season for Little Pranksters®, with high-quality fruit reaching customers and consumers across the country. Consumers have once again taken to social media to share Little Pranksters® sightings, first tastes, and reactions to the unique seasonal fruit, a press release stated.

Stephen Paul, Deciduous Category Director, Homegrown Organic Farms

“This year’s kiwi berry crop came on earlier than usual, and naturally, that means we are also expecting the season to finish earlier,” said Stephen Paul, Deciduous Category Director for Homegrown Organic Farms. “The fruit has been excellent, and we want to be transparent with our customers so they can make the most of the remaining availability.”

Little Pranksters® kiwi berries are grown in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and offer retailers a unique seasonal opportunity in the produce department. Their naturally limited harvest window is part of what makes the fruit special, and Homegrown Organic Farms is encouraging retail partners to take advantage of remaining supplies while they last.

“We’re incredibly thankful to our buying partners for another great Little Pranksters® season and for the continued enthusiasm they bring to the program,” Paul added. “There is still great fruit available, and we’re excited to keep sharing kiwi berries with customers and consumers for as long as this year’s crop allows. Looking ahead, demand continues to outpace supply, even as we work to develop additional acreage. For customers interested in growing their Little Pranksters® programs in 2027, it’s never too early to start planning.”

Customers are encouraged to connect with the Homegrown Organic Farms sales team soon to discuss remaining Little Pranksters® volume and program opportunities.
