The California Avocado Commission is gearing up for its California Avo Babies promotion, which takes place in May and June. As part of the campaign, parents can participate in a contest by uploading photos of their babies eating California avocados onto CAC’s contest page. Winners receive a $5,000 cash scholarship grand prize or one of two $2,500 cash scholarship prizes. Pediatricians and authors Drs. Bill and Jim Sears will serve as spokesmen to promote avocados for babies. Dr. Bill Sears stated quote, “The avocado's smooth, creamy consistency makes it a great first fresh fruit for babies to enjoy.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
