Target will partner with the US EPA’s GreenChill program to reduce refrigeration emissions with green technologies in its stores. Target’s VP of Property Development Operations Dan Riley stated “Target is excited to join the GreenChill partnership and extend our sustainability initiatives to the refrigeration systems in our stores. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by forging new partnerships, achieving milestones in our business and progressing towards our sustainability goals.” The GreenChill program will assist Target in its sustainability mission in several ways, including an industry benchmarking system and access to EPA research.
