Chiquita Brands' financial results for the third quarter of 2011 are finally in, with a net sales report of $723 million and comparable loss of $16 million. The numbers reported for the GAAP net loss are $29 million and includes $11 million of refinancing costs. The reminder of Chiquita's 2011 outlook is promising, including an expectation of a net sales growth of at least 3 percent and significant improvement in full year results compared to 2010. Fernando Aguirre , Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for the company states, "Overall, our results continued to reflect the trends we have seen all year.
