Topco Bids Farewell to Steven K. Lauer

Topco Associates is bidding farewell to the company's President and CEO, Steven K. Lauer. The industry veteran leaves Topco with a 19 year legacy of distinguished service to the cooperative. In 1993, Mr. Lauer joined the company as the Chief Financial Officer, and was appointed to the role of President and CEO of Topco in 1999. With Steven Lauer taking the lead, Topco's membership has grown to 51 retail, wholesale and foodservice member-owners. The membership represents over $125 billion in sales and this past year, the member-owners purchased more than $11.3 billion through Topco's 10 Programs. Randall J. Skoda will step in, serving as the company's Interim President and CEO. Steve Smith, Topco's Chairman and President and CEO of K-VA-T Food Stores, states, "Topco has grown significantly and developed into a leader in the private label industry because of Steve's leadership."
