Produce professionals joined AndNowUKnow from the 2011 Southern Exposure floor, to talk about the benefits of event for the industry. <hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Tommy Wilkins, Director of Produce Procurement for United Supermarkets, reflects on the Southern Exposure as being one of the most effective and efficient tool that retailers have. The most beneficial event all year long, the conference brings great growers and retailers together into the same room, offering what Mr. Wilkins regards as a "priceless experience."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Gary Myracle, Executive Director of Produce Field Procurement for Associated Wholesale Grocers, appreciates the fact that Southern Exposure "isn't a big show but isn't a small show." It allows for AWG to get around and see the vendors that it deals with on a daily basis. The event also provides the opportunity for AWG to find new vendors that will benefit the company. Starting out at seventy booths, the number has slowly grown to two hundred, with a wait list of close to forty exhibitors.
