This year has been crazy, it’s either been one extreme or the other. Seems like every time we’ve had weather issues, it’s been in every area at the same time. You go from having abundance to none. Supply right now is really short just because of the weather issues we’ve had over the last weekend and then you throw on top Valentine’s Day push, the market reflects that it’s firmed up quite a bit. There’s a lot of fruit coming and they need to get ready for it with aggressive retails. It’s about two weeks away. Mexico has probably another three weeks to go, Florida’s got another month, so promote promote promote!

Michelle Deleissegues

Director of Marketing

Red Blossom Sales, Inc.

We are harvesting in Florida, central Mexico, and Oxnard. Production in Florida and Central Mexico has slowed lately due to weather, cooler temperatures, and just inclement weather. But in Oxnard, everything has been clear and we are starting to pick up production. Supply has been spotty out of California just due to cooler temperatures, but this week, we have been much more consistent, and over the next two weeks, we should be doubling production. Oxnard’s quality is shining right now, we’re gaining momentum, and we’re starting to really get ready to roll.
