Kroger Announces US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Million Dollar Club Membership for 3rd Year

The Kroger Co. has announced membership in the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Million Dollar Club for the third consecutive year. This million dollar club recognizes corporations that are leaders in supplier diversity and integrate Hispanic business enterprises into their sourcing and procurement process. To qualify, corporations must have spent between $25 to over $500 million with Hispanic suppliers in the previous year. Kroger was inducted in the $250 to $500 million annual expenditure category. In addition to this honor, Kroger’s director of corporate supplier diversity, Denise Thomas, was recently named a 2012 Top 30 Champion of Diversity by DiversityPlus magazine. Reuben Shaffer, Kroger’s chief diversity officer stated, “Kroger is honored to be selected for membership in the million dollar club.” He continues, “our partnerships with diverse suppliers help us meet our customers’ needs and create employment opportunities in the local communities we serve.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
