Stater Bros: "A Moment Of Silence"

<p>On Sunday, 9/11, Stater Bros. Supermarkets held a &ldquo;Moment of Silence&rdquo; to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the World Trade Center Attacks. At 9:11 a.m., all 167 stores hosted a sixty-second tribute where customers and employees alike, took the opportunity to remember the loss and the growth that has occurred over the past decade. A memorial ceremony was held at the Company&rsquo;s Distribution Center and Corporate Offices as well.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> In 2001, Stater Bros. created a tribute poster for 9/11 that appeared in homes, businesses and corporate offices. This past Sunday, they distributed 2,000 of these posters at each store to promote the memory. Also accompanying the reproduction and distribution in stores, the poster will run in Southern California newspapers. Jack H. Brown, Chairman and CEO of Stater Bros. stated, "The Stater Bros. Supermarket Family will join together with each other and our customers this Sunday to remember the innocent lives that were lost on that fateful day ten years ago.
